I am in the process of putting together my own website for showcasing my photography. I feel that this will enable me to have my images displayed in the manner that I would like, and to give me more control over interface. I will continue to upload some images to this site, but sometimes I wonder what the use is in doing so. The upload process is slow and cumbersome, and it seems that so many good images by a lot of photographers just get passed by anyway.

I just recently got back from a 2 week climbing trip in British Columbia. Some of the photographs have been submitted, keep an eye out for others on the way. As well, photographs from my trip to Croatia will also be added over the next couple days.

Look, theres nothing wrong with taking cute kitten pictures, but I gotta tell ya....
It is incredibly frustrating when I put up a "ok" photograph of a kitten, and it gets comments, faves, etc... when many of what I consider far superior photographs don't even get a view.
Is that what dA has become... I guess its always been that way. Post a picture of a hot girl, (or yourself if you are a hot girl), include a kitten or a puppy, preferably subtract some clothes, and voila... Welcome daily deviation... welcome adoration from thousands of fans...
It's only a little rediculous.
